I just started a new poll concerning PwGen. I got some feature requests in the last weeks which made me think about a pro version. Normally I don’t like the practice of lite and pro versions but sadly there is no other way of publishing similar programs with different feature sets.

Anyway, if you are using PwGen and if you want a particular feature. Give your vote in the new poll on the right side and leave me a comment with the feature you miss. Here is a short list of requests I already received:

• human readable passwords
• better control over used characters (at least two numbers per password etc.)
• password storage

Hi,

the poll for the “quick-password” feature is now closed. Even if there where only 12 answers, the result is clear. The feature will be implemented in the next version. I’m not sure how it will look like but I’ll keep you informed.

the poll about a quick-password feature in PwGen 1.3 will be closed by the end of the week. Currently it looks like it will come in the next version. If you want to make sure, that it will be in or if you are totally against it, tell other people to vote for you.

this morning I got the acceptance mail notification from Apple, that PwGen 1.2 has been published to the AppStore. The new version contains some bugfixes concerning e-mails and has a new feature that allows you to send the complete list of generated passwords in one single e-mail.

Update suggestion for PwGen 1.2

in version 1.1 of PwGen I moved the settings from the program to the settings application. There are some other password generators on the market which all have the settings in the application itself.

Now I ask you, if you want a quick-password feature where you can set the most important features for a password temporarily until the program ends.

You can give your vote on the poll on the right side and I’m very curios about your answers.

Yesterday evening I submitted version 1.2 of PwGen to Apple. No I’m waiting for the Review. Normally this takes around 8 days.
Version 1.2 contains some bugfixes concerning the e-mail feature. There is no default receiver pre-filled anymore and all kinds of passwords can be send now. The new feature in this version is about e-mail, too. You can send now the complete list of generated in a single e-mail.
This feature was implemented after several users requested it.
